The Game Garden is
a registered not for profit global association
purely driven to nurturing the game industry of tomorrow
through collaboration, communication, education and mentoring.
There are three membership levels, each specifically catering
to the various stages and needs of the future game industry.
Seeds are where
the idea of a game starts off. Game designers, writers and
creators are often plagued with difficulty in seeing their idea
actually move forward from just something in their head.
They often make poor choices, and their ideas soon either are
taken away or lost.
Bees are where
the majority of work happens. Artists, programmers, quality
assurance, test leads, sound technicians; it's a place where
there are a lot of people with great experience who want to get
involved with their dream of help building a game but never get
that taste.
Farmers are where
games rarely reach. Video game publishers and
venture capitalists looking to diversify their
portfolio, they want to ensure that the mitigation of
risk is taken care of and want high quality potential
opportunities given to them.
We'd also like to
apologise to William from WilliamDezign for the
accidental use of his B logo for the Bees symbol.
The Game Garden was not aware of this and hope that
should you need logo designs, to contact us and we'd be
very happy to pass it on to him. We thank William
for bringing this matter to our attention.

The Game Garden is proud to be a
sponsor of the GameX Industry Summit. Game industry
professionals will convene for two days of games-focused
lectures, panels, roundtables and keynotes from the best
and brightest minds in the games
business.

The Game Garden is also proud to sponsor the 2nd
Annual Philly Game Jam - Philadelphia’s premier game
building event. The Philly Game Jam is a 48-hour game
building marathon where professionals, students and
amateurs alike can compete to build new game concepts
based on a theme announced at the start of the contest.
The event returns in 2009, this time as part of GameX Industry Summit, October
23-25. Hosted by IGDA Philadelphia, Philly Game Jam
invites game developers from all over the Northeast to
bring together teams of 3 – 10 developers for 48 hours
of game building excitement.
